Things To Do In Las Vegas: Our Family Experience
March 24, 2018

I fell in love with traveling. Going places I’ve never gone before. A time where you will just enjoy life and not to worry about anything. Creating more amazing memories. Learning and experiencing real things.
Here, I’ll be sharing with you about our road trip to Las Vegas.
Welcome to Las Vegas!
Las Vegas is known for its nickname as “Sin City”. I’m just really wondering why it is called sin city. I’ve only seen this place on the internet and some of my social media friends. Until I got a chance to visit the place for 2 days.
From Los Angeles California, we traveled to Las Vegas. From a distance, I already knew it’s Las Vegas because of the lights. We arrived 2 o’clock in the morning so we check in at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino to have some rest. We have a very big nice room and we can see the Trump building from our room. Since we checked in so late they gave us a free breakfast buffet from one of their restaurants.

One of our goal in visiting Las Vegas was to experience the most thrilling rides at the Stratosphere tower, so we checked in at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino.
The staff was so friendly. She even upgraded our room and changed it to the highest room in the building. We save on all the rides and getting up on the tower. That’s why we choose this Hotel because they have a lot of activities to enjoy.
While they are preparing our room we played at the Casino and won 60 dollars. We just played once. We just want to experience what those people doing in the Casino. We left our luggage in our room and went to Las Vegas Boulevard to see what it looks like and what’s in there.

Morning Trip
In the morning we just stroll around the city to see and experience Las Vegas. A lot of high rise buildings of Hotels and Casino. There’s also an Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas and Statue of Liberty. We’re looking for a shopping place to buy souvenir shirts.

Afternoon Trip
We went back to Stratosphere hotel to experience the rides on top of the tower. From the tower, you will see the spectacular view of Las Vegas. Photo was taken from the tower’s observation deck. It is the tallest observation tower in the US. You will see the 360-degree views of the city.

They have the most thrilling rides on top of the tower.
X-scream ride:
A very scary ride on top of the tower. Are you afraid of heights? If not then try the X- scream ride. The car roll backward and forward along the length. The car will roll quickly forward to the end of the track then it will brake and stop sharply then roll backward.
It was designed like you’re riding on a car and will fall in the building. Imagine that it was on top of the highest tower in the US. Everyone who’s watching the rides will also scream because they think the passenger in the car might fall.

Insanity Ride:
This ride will spin you in the open air. As the claws will start to open and spin it will make you feel dizzy. Wasn’t that scary? After riding you can say to yourself “yes I did it”. You feel proud of yourself since not everyone is brave enough to challenge their selves to ride on this.

Big shot:
Want to experience the scariest ride on top of the tower? Try the big shot. In just a matter of seconds, this ride will shoot you to the sky. You will see the beautiful view of Las Vegas if you enjoy the ride. But if you’re scared, you will just close your eyes and keep screaming until the ride stop.

Night:
We walked to the City Strips of Las Vegas. I’ve seen people on the street having a good time. Sexy ladies dancing on top of the table. You will see different street performers. Smoke, lights, concerts, a crowd of people walking and experiencing the nightlife in Vegas.

Second Day
We visited the Gold and Silver Pawnshop. A family-run business in Las Vegas. We took a photo with the owner and a signature on the 2 dollar bills we bought from their store. They are so famous in Las Vegas.
One of their family members owns a candy shop located just next door. I always watched their reality tv show Pawn Star. My husband is fond of collecting old paper bills.

Afternoon: Hoover Dam
Las Vegas is not just about gambling on casinos. They also have beautiful sceneries to see. One of them is Hoover Dam. Wish we brought the jetski to play in the water.
Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona.

Loved your Vegas pictures. Another thing on my bucket list , Hoover Dam. Never saw that either when I lived in Las Vegas . I would be too wicked scared to go on any of those rides .
Thank you Jo Ann. It’s so nice on top of the tower. You will see the wonderful view of Vegas. But the rides were so scary.
I almost die reading the insanity ride part!! OMG, I had never been in Vegas but is in my bucket list, will be interesting to see the lights in the city from the plane.
P.S. Great design of your blog!
Thanks much Lulu! You should try the rides at Stratosphere. Very scary but it’s definitely one of the adventure that you will never forget and you will be proud of yourself conquering the fear.
